I have terrible trouble choosing what to watch on TV. Usually, I spend more time scrolling through the options, trying to decide, than I would in actually watching a movie.
And most of the time, the movie I choose is crud.
I am a history buff, so I got an idea to watch Oscar-winning movies - but immediately I thought of good movies that were nominated but didn't win, so I decided to make a journey of watching as many Oscar-nominated films as I could.
I know I won't watch every single one. Some are lost. I already pay a lot for streaming services, so if a movie isn't on any of those, I'm not likely to buy it until I've exhausted the other options.
But here I go. I'll watch as many as I can from one year as I can before moving on to the next, but I will go back and watch movies I've missed where I can.
I am no professional art critic. I'm not an actor. I'm just an ordinary person who likes to be entertained. If anyone wants to join me on this quest, feel free.
Now bring on the popcorn.
